How do I make my apartment clutter free?
I live in a small two bedroom apartment with my grandson (17). I Want to have a place in my living room/dining area I can use for my computer/coloring. I would like to make a desk type space that doesn’t take up a lot of room. How can I do this with a small budget.

Hi Vickie,
Here are some ideas from tiny homes, maybe some of these could give you ideas.

I would probably find a small desk that would serve my purpose in a thrift shop and give it a makeover to match the space.
My other idea was to create a countertop that could fold down from the wall as needed for the laptop/ coloring, but if this is a rental, you might not want such permanent anchors/ installation in the wall.
I agree with Joy. You can easily find a nice and affordable desk in Thrift shops such as Goodwill or Restore Habitat for Humanity. If you are handy and can tackle a small DIY project, this floating desk is a great idea for small spaces. https://grillo-designs.com/floating-wall-desk/
Good luck!
I've seen where some people have used a wooden shelf attached to the wall (securely) and used as a desk. Of course it needs to be fairly deep to be functional. That way you can add a chair to it when it's in use and place the chair back under the dining room table after.
