Has anyone tried to do acrylic top over regular laminate counter tops?
I have seen so many on you tube, and some blogs ( very few though ) I would like to lighten our kitchen up some , and try the marble look on them. How difficult is this , and sturdy for a counter?

Your laminate counters are likely surprisingly strong so they can be used as a base to do many decorative things to improve the look of your area You can decoupage (glue papers, etc on top with a glue-type mixture), paint over them to look exactly as you want by using various paints. Here's a link to good info. and there are many, many more out there on the web.

Seal whatever decorative painting you've done on the counters and they will last a good long while....until you decide you want a change! Have fun!
