Hi, lightly sand it and clean it with TSP, prime it ( get primer mixed in color you are painting) and paint
Sand it lightly so as to rough the surfaces & then paint with suitable paint o choice?
Yes, I did this to my mother-in-laws bathroom. It's the same as painting old paneling. Very lightly sand (just enough to give the paint something to stick to) If you sand too much you can remove part of the top layer and the paint will soak into the wallboard and bubble. Make sure your panel is clean then just prime and paint.
A really smooth surface can be painted by cleaning it well to remove grease and dust, sand lightly, prime, and paint. It will look really nice when it is done.
Yes you have to prime it first with zinser primer from Menards if the seams are good you should have no problems btw use latex primer
Thank you All!!! Very helpful!
Low pile roller after cutting in with a brush.
