The paint will always change the texture, feel and wear factor of the fabric, and may not adhere well for durability.
Yes you can paint fabrics though for best results the paint needs to be thinned, worked into the fabric, and may need more than one coat of paint. Youtube and Pinterest both have great ideas and tutorials. Good luck!!!
