We've painted dozens of rooms and as boring as it sounds, the real effort comes up from in the prep. Move furniture, cover the floor, clean the walls and patch any chips in them and tape baseboards and any other areas you need clean lines on. We love 'sash' brushes to do detail work (the ones that are angled) and rollers for the big areas. Dark colors will need at least 3 coats, but the effort is worth it. Nothing adds value to a property faster or more affordably than paint.
I agree with the above statement. After all the painting we’ve done, it’s all about prep work and paint type. Good quality paint and paint brushes make a huge difference. We spend almost a full day taping everything off too.
