We are retired and recently installed luxury vinyl plank in a new bathroom. Many builders are using it now because it is durable and looks like wood, plus it is cost effective. The trick we learned from my sons builder is to make sure beforehand that the selected manufacturers material clicks together easily. Research comments online for this information. Or, if you know a home builder you could ask for their recommendation.
A friend of mine put in this product (in a different color) and she said it was pretty easy and it looks GREAT! https://www.lowes.com/pd/STAINMASTER-10-Piece-5-74-in-x-47-74-in-Washed-Oak-Dove-Locking-Luxury-Vinyl-Plank/999957695
I installed a Life Proof floating floor in my bathroom-- purchased at Home Depot-- by myself--age 62! I did use a chop saw to cut the length rather than a razor blade knife and a jigsaw to cut the width smaller. That worked much better and faster. This floor clicked together well and looks great. Love it! Also water resistant.
I work at a flooring store. I highly recommend vinyl plank or a type of floating floor. Check the thickness of various products -- they are often not "apples to apples." Be sure to read ALL of the specifications and ONLY use proper adhesive, etc. Also check the warranty on all products. Be sure you area is TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED at all times and above all -- DO A MOISTURE TEST BEFORE YOU BEGIN!!! If there is still a moisture issue, you WILL have problems in the future. Good luck!
