The ceilings in my home are textured and due to a roof leak are separating from the drywall at the drywall seam. What is the best way to repair these?Thank you!
First, determine the cause of the cracks. Hopefully it's just settling over time or there was a single event. Remedy the cause if needed.
Sand back the area, fill with drywall joint compound (sheetrock mud), and feather out. Once it is dry, smooth with either sanding block or damp sponge (I prefer sponge). Repeat the process for a minimum of 3 times, blending in and widening area with each step.
Prime and paint.

I would add just one thing to Kathy’s excellent post...use drywall tape (also known as joint tape along the crack before using the joint compound. Just put down a light skim coat and press the tape into it. When it dries sand and proceed as Kathy advised.
