How do I decorate for holidays in a tiny house?
My husband and I live in SWFL in a 1,000 sq ft home. I have little storage space, so I resort to using "live" or "natural" holiday decor that is returned to nature after the holiday. Looking for new ideas!

Use spices that could be mixed in with your other decorations. Willow is good to make natural decorations, like a wreath or hanging decorations, cinnamon sticks bound with ribbon to hang from your tree or mantle.
Make a wreath from Holly or other berry shrubs. Acorns and pine cones can be bleached, or spray painted. These can be included in floral displays or used on the Christmas tree. Hand made biscuits look good on the tree also.
Hi Joanne,
Pine boughs with pine cones attached to the front door would look lovely.

Hi Joanne, love the idea of natural decor. I too live in a tiny space with limited storage, so I opt for things that can be used up or discarded at the end of the season. You can make banners or garlands from cinnamon sticks and dried orange slices. You can get a real tree with a ball attached, keep it in a crate or bucket and plant it when done. Garland can made from popcorn, pinecones or buttons (which store very compactly). You can make floral arrangements with items gathered from the garden and fruit.

Hope that helps!
I hope you don’t have a tiny house. That’s the same size as my house. Anyway, I make room for a tree by using a side table or nightstand it’s a tomato cage on it. Other things can hang on door knobs or attached to walls with thumbtacks so you don’t get gaping holes. Don’t forget over the door hangers too!
Hi Joanne - While our house is spacious, it was built in 1962 and has tiny rooms, so we run into a similar situation. This is how we decorate our home for Christmas. Hope it helps with some inspiration! Hugs, Holly
