very hot water pour in some vinegar and dry them down with newspaper. After you use a glass cloth such as an old cotton teatowel DON'T USE A TERRY TOWEL ONE. and windows will be clear.

This is also Anti Fog, great for mirrors in bathroom too.
Please check your window manufacturer's website for cleaning instructions before using ammonia or alcohol based products, as it will cause fogging on some glass and can invalidate your window warranty.
Throwing it there, I was told years ago that many professional window cleaners use Joy dish detergent and a squeegee. Works great!

Use windex with newspaper for no streaks!
Outdoors: A few drops of Dawn dish liquid to a bucket of hot water will remove grease and dirt. Rinse well and use squeegee to dry, making long strokes, side to side or top to bottom. Wipe squeegee against a soft towel between swipes.
Indoors, wipe with soft wet cloth with 1 drop Dawn. Rinse with soft cloth. Squeegee or dry with microfiber cloth that has not been dried with fabric softener.
