How do I remove a grease stain from my granite countertop?
My husband left a can of cooking spray on the counter and it left a grease ring on my new granite counter top that was recently installed.
It depends on the type of paint. We had our cabinets painted white & the painter said to only use soap & water. If the cabinets are ok with stronger cleaners use ammonia & water or TSP with water
Hello Jen,
Use a Sponge/Scourer Pad, along with Soapy water with vinegar added........Dry with Soft cloth and buff.
Using a microfiber or an old cotton cloth soaked in a thick solution of bicarbonate (commonly known as carbonate soda), rub gently the greased area in a circular motion paying attention not to ruin the paint. Remove access using a dry soft cotton cloth.
Alternatively, dab a soft cotton cloth with starch and apply to grease (line the floor or working top with old newspapers to avoid mess). Allow to set for 5 minutes, then scrap off and polish. You might need the help of a steam iron at stubborn areas.
Good luck

Hi Jenn,
I'm Linda. I use a mixture of vinegar and water (50% each) with a few drops of Dawn in a spray bottle. I like using natural items to help keep more chemicals out of the system. I just mix it up, spray it on, then wipe it off. If it's not completely removed, I'll spray it on and leave it for a few minutes to give it time to work before wiping it off. Sometimes I'll add a few drops of essential oil into the mix to give it a fresh scent. Lemon works well. I hope this helps you.
