How do I make a non skid fabric rug?
I am making a jelly roll rug and was wondering what would be best to put on the back to keep it from slipping. Keeping in mind the rug will go in the washer and dryer.

Buy a non-skid rug backing and lay it on the floor under your rug. Anything rubber(ish) will deteriorate when washed. You can also use double sided tape if it's not going to be washed frequently.
You can put a latex backing on you wonderful new rug, but go to your local hardware store and see if they sell a no slip under pad. they come in various sizes and may be trimmed to fit your new creation. It looks like a latex dipped rug hooking canvas (usually white or ecru coloured). Place the pad where you want your rug and just put the rug on top!
Put dots of rubber cement on it. Inexpensive and effective.
