How do I enclose a wheelchair ramp inexpensively?

    Carole, the state regulations are very strict concerning wheelchair ramps. Before you do anything, google your state or local requirements or if you have a family member who does this, check with him. Once you download the specifications you can move forward.

    are you trying to enclose a ramp that is already in place?


    I would suggest using a tarp or awing type enclosure. There is not much on the info I searched to enclose the ramps everything I read says they have to be open and not enclosed.

    By enclose it do you mean to make it totally blocked from sight or just how to add a handrail?

    Pallets, are you trying to make it shady, attractive, bug proof, or secure.

    If you are simply trying to keep the rain off person using the ramp, consider using clear visqueen attached to plastic plumbing pipe with zip ties, at 4' to 6' intervals then curve the plastic pipes to arch over the ramp, side to side & fasten to the wheelchair ramp handrail uprights with pipe-clamps- u-shapes with flanges that screw in on each side over the pipe.
