Clean 30 years of dust off of unsealed log walls
Hi, Debi,
Any surface can collect dust, particularly in certain areas of the U.S.
It's wise to vacuum these surfaces with the soft brush attachment, at least weekly.
I don't have a problem with dust in the cracks. You could use a vacuum with a brush attachment about once a month if you were concerned or a Swiffer dust brush. I installed a shiplap product that overlaps. The cracks are small-about 1/4 inch.
Our shiplap walls have held up fine and we made sure to use a paint that was durable enough if we needed to wipe it down.
Thanks for your answers
I've never had an issue with them! If you do, you can always take a handheld vacuum to clean the cracks.
