Carole,. You have air in your lines. It happens when the town flushes the pipes. Call your local hardware or Home Depot plumbing department, I'm sure they can help you. Aloha!

Carole, You have air in the lines. Sometime just running the water helps. Go online to Google, and type in "how to elimate vibration in water lines". Aloha!
I had the same problem: I put pieces of foam on top of the pipes where my
pipes were against the ceiling boards; stopped immediately.
If your pipes are too far away from the boards just use bigger pieces of foam
