How do I add bed ruffles on a soft side waterbed?
I have a soft side waterbed and want to use bedruffles. So far, nothing I have tried has worked. The bed ruffle has to be removable so I can wash it. I’m currently using a bedruffle with elastic sewn into the upper hem (no flat part because the waterbed mattress can not be lifted). I tried to glue Velcro to the ruffle and the soft sides of the waterbed. It won’t stay on, the glue does not adhere sufficiently to the mattress or the ruffle. Any good ideas out there?

Doesn't the water bed have some sort of frame you could adhere the velcro to? Then stick the other piece on the water bed mattress and use a glue specifically made for that.

I would use velcro rather than glue if possible
When I used a waterbed, I used the right sized ruffle with plain cloth that covered the whole mattress. Then I used the fitted bottom and the flat sheet that was fitted at the bottom edge. Then the bedspread and pillows kept everything covered and in place. It was my second set of bedding before I got everything the right size, especially a long enough mattres cover with ruffle, and a bedspread long enough to reach the ruffles. But they were just right until I went back to a solid mattress. ☺️
