I'd pour 1/2 cup of straight bleach in the bowl. Let it sit overnight of at least a few hours. Brush well with a toilet bowl brush to see if that works first. If not, use a Pumice stone to remove any mineral deposits.

I use bicarb and vinegar. let it sit couple hours and brush with toilet brush. All marks will be removed.

I use a pumice stone and cleaning vinegar (not regular vinegar). I actually pick up at either Home Depot or Lowes depending where I am when needed. Empty out the bowl from all water, stuff the outflow (sorry, don't know official name) with newspaper and then pour the vinegar (I need at least 1.5 gallons) into the bowl. Let sit for a few hours. Then, scrub with scrub brush. Sometimes I need a pumice stone in addition. Remove the newspaper and flush. Toilet should be clean. If you use the kool aid as suggested it must be lemon kool aid only. Good luck.
