Zandra: get a dehumidifier!! They really work.
Here's a good place to start: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_12?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=dehumidifiers+for+home&sprefix=dehumidifier%2Caps%2C190&crid=2P9ZLXRTV3MC3
I’ve been using Damp Rid in every room, even the garage. Some hang for closets some are plastic tubs. Keep a close eye on them they fill with water and need replacing.
Zandra....I would purchase the dehumidifier that Nan mentioned. You can empty it yourself or have it drain on its own. Just depends where you put it but we have two in our basement and just go down and empty in the bathroom in basement. I am amazed at the water it draws even years later. Good luck!
Hi Zandra - This is a great article that covers mold and humidity. (it's focused on the bathroom but the concept is universal) Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
