I Use rubber bands, tape, twist ties. Have to be creative sometimes.
I use blue painters tape, rubber bands, twist wire around, wrap string/rope. I have even wrapped Ace bandages around objects. Stretch plastic wrap around them.

It depends on the size and shape, use whatever works...painter's tape, ace wraps, strong rubber bands, toothpicks, spacers for tiles...a few examples. Best to you.
