If the finish isn't scratched, you may have a residue on it. If it isn't marble, try "wet and forget shower". It's a no scrub product that has made a world of difference on my fiberglass tub and glass shower doors. You can watch a video on it at qvc.com. They also sell it at Lowe's & walmart.com. They look like new again. Another option would be Magic Eraser.
Judy, Vinegar. Aloha
Any cheap shampoo. Tubs, sinks, tile. really works
I clean professionally and I use a soap scum remover such as scrubbing bubbles. Spray it on, let sit for several minutes, and then gently rub over it with a nylon scrubby. Rinse. Repeat a second time while the soap scum is softened. To maintain a shiny tub, use the soap scum remover weekly, no need to scrub.
Dremel Versa 4 volt cordless lithium-Ion power cleaner tool. Worth it's weight in gold. My husband and I recently purchased a home and it was obvious that the previous owner never cleaned the shower or the tub. After 12 hours of time between my grand daughter and I using pumice stone, I realized I needed some big guns. The Dremel Versa, purchased at Home Depot, was a life saver. The hard water stains are gone and the tub & tiles are now sparkling clean. Good as new. Believe me when I say that the tub was BLACK with hard water stains and filth and it's all gone now.
if you can get your hands on an industrial cleanser - Spray Nine . good for most surfaces. this is what I used on my tub, came out great. this can be found at Walmart,, some lrg grocery stores, or Amazon.
