How can I make my 8 strands of icicle lights seem continuous?
I usually use icicle lights, I have 8 stands of lights that I put up every year. Some have lights that do not turn on is there a way to combine to make it seem continuous. Not wanting to have to buy new sets of lights.

Should be able to replace burned out base-strand bulbs & make them work.
If you want to cut the wiring & splice them, consider that electricians’ tape is really not enough for wet/winter electrical protection & wire nuts look “huge”.
There are 3M “splicing nuts”, but you just as well wait until after Xmas clearance and buy new ones, as those slick 3M products are pricey.
Cant you just replace the broken ones in each strand from one of the strand. Rather have 7 complete strand than 8.
