ONE THING I LEARNED FROM OFF THE NET IS TO TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN OUTSIDE IN A SECLUDED AREA IN YOUR YARD AND LEAVE IT A COUPLE DAYS. SOME OF MINE FELL RIGHT OFF VERY LITTLE LEFT TO SCRUB...HAPPY NEW YEAR.

sprinkle baking soda to cover crust, add a mix of half cup HOT water, half cup vinegar and 3-4 drops blue Dawn. Let soak overnight. Pour the mixture into a container, then scrape off loosened crusty pieces and remove them. Sprinkle pan again with baking soda, then pour mixture back in pan. Let soak again. Next day dump out mixture and scrub pan using a scrubbie meant for non-stick pans and more baking soda. Takes a couple days, but if it saves an expensive pan, it's worth it
