How do I create a rustic down rod light cover?
I have this house built in 1955 with the old fashioned ceiling light with two bulbs. It has a small down rod for your typical glass square cover...which I don’t have and don’t want that anyway. Trying to come up with a creative rustic idea for it.

Hi Rudy Anne! I've seen others use everyday items, like woven baskets, to cover ceiling lights, so that might be something to consider. I also found a few links for other ideas. Hopefully they help.

Check out the lighting stores for ideas. Lights are easy to replace.
You can also get a larger Down Rod at mostly any hardware store. Ace Hardware has these and these are who I turn to when I need to Refurbish a Lamp. Your request is not new. This is 90% of why electricians get called.
