How to repair the cracks on both front seats of this 11 year old Volvo. FYI: the car lives in very dry Las Vegas, but is garaged.
I saw kits for that on Amazon. Hope it works out.
Dampen a clean, soft cloth with lacquer thinner. Wipe over the damaged area.
Spread a small amount of linoleum glue -- the exact amount will depend on the size of the tear -- across the flooring beneath.
Press the edges of the tear together, wiping away any excess glue that squeezes out. Place a brick, a heavy book or a similar object on top of the repair to aid the tear in drying flat. Leave several hours to dry.
Squirt a thin bead of liquid seam sealer onto the damaged area. You can put pieces of cardbord bent into a V shape over the seam so nobody steps on it while drying overnight if possible.
Mogie has the right idea. Use vinyl tile adhesive, press down, wipe off the excess , cover with some plastic wrap, and place something heavy on top.
