How can I paint my tub-shower combo?
I want to paint those horrible all in one shower-bathtub combo. They are that off white light beige color. Everything else is white. Can this be done and how hard is it to do. Would love to just put in a shower alone but feel like not something I can do or afford. Would need a bench at the back of shower to sit on. Have had two back surgeries and fibro so can't stand long. Anyone done this or had it done and was it way expensive. Thinking of selling my house in a couple of years will this cost me if I don't have the combo in the master bathroom. No room for both but I can't use tub as I can't get down and get up. Help

Hi Paula! I'm not too sure about replacing the entire unit, but in terms of painting it, you could try one these kits:

I hope this helps.
Since you are going to sell in a couple years, and have health problems, please don't paint it. Leave it alone. To do it correctly so it won't peel is expensive and is also a turnoff as people know painted showers will peel. If people like the rest of your house, that won't matter much. Who knows, they might want to gut the whole bath and redo.
You can buy a shower bench to sit on in the meantime.
Firstly, Yes any exterior weather beater paint will work on walls in a shower. White is Available for less than $30
Secondly to paint a tub you need a Rustoleum Tub & Tile kit from HomeDepot.com with Brushes or Rollers for Less than $30
Thirdly, you should get a Handheld Sprayer Attachment for your tub. They cost less than $30 at Amazon.com but you will need also Plumbers (Blue) Sealant Tape at about $8.
Lastly, most ElderCare suppliers sell Side Chairs and also insertable Chairs for the Tub, get one it will make your life improve. I recommend the Side Chairs as they Slip Less and you can get these for less than $180.
So this improvement should not cost more than $295 with a purchase of a Pair of Flip Flops for Standing in the Tub.
TY all for your answers. I do have a shower chair that part sits in the tub part out. I just slide over. About painting if it is going to peel I can deal with the color. Waste of my time. I thought it was fairly simple since that is what this person told me. Oh I also have a handheld sprayer to make it easier. My kids had this set up after my first surgery. Thank the lord I have smart practical and pretty darn good kids. TY all for your replies.
