Not sure how to replicate spray without spraying.
The closest you can come to a factory spray or custom finish (my opinion only), is by using a foam applicator, as it doesn't leave brush marks or roller marks. An acquaintance of mine (with a shop that I envy), rolls on with a low nap roller then goes over with a foam brush. And she waits until each coat is thoroughly dry before applying each coat. Time, space and patience will achieve a flawless end result.
My kitchen is in desperate need of a major overhaul and I want to paint my cabinets. Since it is so dusty where I live, I am entertaining the thought of renting a ground level storage locker to do my work. A short term rental for a month. I already inquired at a few local places and even with the additional cost, it is still thousands less than hiring out. Might be something to consider?
Use a foam brush and foam roller to get a smooth finish.
