How do I hang a large picture?
I have a rather heavy and large (approx 65"L X 47H) picture that I would like to hang. My wall is plaster. What is the best hanging materials to use? Thanks so much for your advise!!

When you're hanging something that large and heavy its pretty important that you mount it directly to a stud in the wall (the wood structure that sits behind your plaster walls). Use a stud finder tool to find a couple of studs and then screw some 2" panhead #10 screws into the studs. Leave the screws protruding from the plaster wall about 1/2" and hook the picture wire around the head of the screws.

Heavy things should be hung using a French cleat. Today these are mostly mating pieces of angled metal. You can find them at the large hardware stores like Lowes and HD. Use strong wall anchors if you cannot hit studs.
