How do I paint my shower?
Why is my shower is not made of tile it's a material like a hard cardboard is older than a trailer but it looks really bad and spots missing off of it not painted very ugly yellow color please help.

It sounds like you might have shower paneling... if you don't want to replace the panels entirely, you could use Killz or Zissner on the surround then make sure what ever paint that you select is meant for high humidity areas & has a Mold/Mildew inhibitor. If you have the time and money and the tub surround is flat, you can pick up sheets of Plastic Tub Surround for like $20 or $30 each at Lowes.. they sure look nice and clean when you put them up and Caulk them in.
Bath panels used from the 50's to 70's. Fake porcelain finish bonded to hardboard. It would need to be removed, walls leveled/repaired, waterproofed then you can tile. Or remove everything down to the studs and start over from scratch. Do noy paint. No paint will hold up in wet areas.
