I have a recliner that is peeling. Would painting it help. The chair is structurally excellent.
what is the material that is peeling? vinyl upholstery? wood/paint? fabric?
if fabric ... it's not that difficult -- https://www.hometalk.com/28042568/q-how-can-i-paint-this-recliner-instead-of-reupholstery
https://www.leatherrepairkits.com/about-bonded-leather/ I am NOT recommending this product .. just pointing out that they say it's a 'repair' kit
Hello, I can think of two possible repair options to offer- depending on the amount of surface area involved.
You might consider leather/vinyl repair kit. Commonly found in automotive sections. You will be supplied with several colors in tiny pots to custom mix your patch and sample textures to stamp over your repair to match your appearance of defective project.
Im not sure the degree of restoration, could touch up paint work? That what my son successfully restored his pleather sofa wear - using a ( brown)leather paint from Amazon. Very unnoticeable - impressive repair.....very slight difference in sheen. You could polish it I suppose.
This product has very positive reviews on Amazon, might be worth consideration. You need to check over reviews Q&A and see if your correct color is available. Hope this helps.
