Sand it down well. They have a primer/paint all in one.I would use a semigloss white. Make sure you get a small roller with a non porous roller. This way you won't have brush marks. Take doors off and the hinges and do the same. Stands up well to steam and cleans nice.

I would use an enamel paint only. Chalk paint isn't appropriate for a bathroom vanity.
