I need help. How do you convert old fashioned drapery hooks for curtains with pleats into fitting a rod with rings. I ha
The drapes are the best quality I have ever seen. I don't want to waste them.
Kelly I love this project. To make sheets there are lots of tutorials online. My most favorite and easiest way is to use sheets. They are already hemmed and the perfect shape.
The top of the sheets has a little pocket that you could string your rod through. All you have to do is undo the stitching on the very end so the rod can go through and then just so them up by hand but you don’t even have to.
I hope you share your finished project have a lot of fun.
You can use twin sheets or if you have a much bigger window you can take a queen or a king and cut it in half, but those you have to hem up the edges. Or you don’t have to if you don’t want to. It’s jsit makes it finished and neater.
I love sheets because they are usually a little thicker and much cheaper than buying curtains.
The light still comes through plus some room darkening.
HERE is a post I wrote with a tutorial to make window treatments.
That’s a great solution and idea. Thanks for Sharing!
I like using drop cloth fabric for my curtains. I like the neutral look. They sell curtain rings with clips... https://amzn.to/2sB1dTn ... that hold the fabric. They slide right onto the pole and look great! You can fold over the top to create a valance look at the top. This can also be done with twin size sheets.
