How do I choose a protective finish for my kitchen cabinets?
I forgot to add that I live in a humid state and I've been told that a finish for kitchen cabinets must be considered for both the paint and the type of protectant finish used. What type would I need???? Brand new DIY here! Willing to spend a reasonable amount of money as can't afford new. Ideas PLEASE! Thank you!

Use epoxy available at Amazon.
Oil based primer and paint would be best. No other protection needed.
If you have air condition you should be fine with any cabinet finish. I live in Florida and I have never heard anything about a special protective finish.
