Any suggestions?
Nope! Call the plumber. Save yourself a migraine and a huge bill in the long run. Do it right the first time and you'll never have to worry about it again. Best of luck.
Check the roof vent. You may have a blockage in it. Run a garden hose down full blast down the vent pipe. Should push any blockage through.
In most areas, a professional drain cleaning is less than a hundred bucks. Not an expensive repair.
The answer is ...you neec a plumber! There is a clog somewhere....I would do it soon than later before you really have a backup problem....
Snake needs to be run toward the house, not toward the street. After you fix the clog, STOP using the garbage disposal! Garbage disposal are a menace to the plumbing system.
Have you tried the baking soda and white vinegar remedy in your kitchen sink drain as a first step? I’ve used this method over the years. You may have to repeat, but both ingredients are cheap and won’t make things worse and are eco-friendly. Google it for amount of each.
Since the backup is making it through to the shower, it would seem the shower drain is OK. (Also, for the future, never put potato peels, lettuce, fibrous veggies in the disposal. I learned the hard way!)
Good luck!
Perhaps your garbage disposal was incorrectly installed. Lacking a 28-32" drain loop, you may need an "Air Gap" installed for the dishwasher.
Howver, at this point, I agree that a professional plumber needs contacted, ASAP, to remedy the problem.
Be very careful to avoid placing grease, meat fats, coffee grounds, or lemon/citrus halves into your disposal, which can clog or damage piping.
