Where was the mold?
There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. Run a dehumidifier, set no higher than 40%.
Use bath linens that have never been laundered with fabric softener (reduces absorption). If you can afford the cost, invest in linen bath towels, which absorb water faster and dry more rapidly.
Use a fabric, water resisrant shower curtain liner rather than a plastic one.
Wipe down shower walls, floor and ceiling with a squeegee and microfiber cloth.
Purchase a high quality bath exhaust fan that vents directly outdoor. Run it during showers and for at least 20-30 minutes afterward.
Remove extraneous bottles from shower area, or be prepared to wipe each one dry after showers.
In the kitchen, always run hood exhaust fan when cooking/baking. Use your ceiling fan to keep air moving.
Don't hang wet laundry in basement.
Check gutters and downspouts for blockages. Downspouts should extend at least 10' away from foundation.
Trim shrubs near your home. Don't plant closer than 4' from your foundation. Keep mulch at least 4' from foundation (10' is preferred).
Improve yard drainage. Make swales or install French drains, as needed.
Check patios where they adjoin home's foundation to insure water is not moving down foundation walls to basement areas.
Clean
Focus on moisture prevention, including humidity. Focus on surfaces where mold can thrive (wood, carpet, plasterboard, drywall) and keep it clean.
