Try putting DampRid in there. It will remove any moisture and the smell should follow. I like the ones that hang i (designed for closets) more than the bucket.

I would check and see if perhaps you have a slow leak inside the wall where the pipes come out. We had that problem in a rent house we lived in and it was the pipe for the toilet. It could be the same for your sink. The house my son bought did have a very slow drip under his sink that was not noticeable until the floor of the vanity cupboard started bowing down from water damage in the middle. It ended up being a simple repair for the leak. We replaced his Vanity, the other one was old and looked very sad and it was painted black and made the small bathroom look even smaller than it is. If you don't find the leak, try to isolate where it is coming from and try cleaning that area with vinegar to get rid of the odor. It has to be coming from mold developing somewhere, maybe even the floor under the vanity where some moisture is collecting somehow.

I would put DampRid in their. It will remove any moisture and the smell. I prefer the hanging clean scent version.

  • There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps!
