It sounds like the air in your house is very dry. Consider putting humidifiers in rooms where your clothes are stored and in the main rooms where you spend the most time. Static guard spray works great. Spray it on the inside of your clothing before putting them on. Also, dry items like sweaters or items that tend to produce static only enough to take out wrinkles--5-10 minutes. Then hang up to finish drying. Over drying your items in the dryer produces static.

Hello -a humidifier and use of a product like static guard can be helpful.
Haven't used dryer sheets in 20 years. I use wool dryer balls or Nellie's dryer balls. Keeps static away in dryer.
I use lambs wool balls and never have an issue!
