Hello Valerie, I would caulk instead of using grout. Grout has no flexibility. Instead of trying to tell you how to do it it, here is a good video to show you how.

Rebecca is right, caulk is the way to go. I didn't watch the video but make sure you get the tub & tile type of caulk. I smooth mine with my finger, it works better than any tool I have ever tried.
If you use painters tape to line up the area you are caulking then you will get a better and neater job. A wet finger does the trick of smoothing out the caulk. Be sure not to put too big a hole in the tube so that you get too much pouring out. Be sure also that the area is completely dry and wait a day or two before using the tub. Stand in the tub while you are caulking so that your weight will pull the tub down the same as when the water is in there. Have some paper towels handy to clean your fingers of excess caulk.
