Should you use grout or caulk around a bathtub?

I've seen differing advice online, especially when it comes to between the tub and wall, and as a seal around the bath. Does it depend on the materials? Any advice from this great community is appreciated.
You should use caulk. Be sure to remove any other product and start with clean surfaces.
I agree with Janice, caulk is the better solution nowadays. Its flexible and provides a completely water tight seal. Its also easy to apply!

Caulk, it allows movement without breaking the seal, plus it stands up to cleaning.
Caulk where two different types of material meet. Grout between similar materials. Wall to tub is almost always caulk.

grout is for tile caulk is for around tubs and showers, etc.
Silicone caulk is what is recommended for the bathtub.
Grout in between tiles. Caulking MADE FOR wet areas between the bottom of tile and tub or sink.
I always caulk at the tub edge as grout can be more porous unless you are resealing regularly.
Caulk is what you should use where the tile and tub meet. You can remove the old stuff and squeeze on a nice new bead very easily.
