Hi Pam,
I have great success by putting equal parts of vinegar & water plus a few drops of Dawn into a spray bottle. Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes then wipe it off. If some of the scum is still there, you can repeat or you can make a paste with baking soda & water. Rub that on first then follow with the vinegar solution. I hope this helps you. Wishing you the best.
Try a mix of warm water, vinegar and baking soda. When you first get into your shower, if you spray down the walls while you are waiting for the hot water to come you will find you will have less of a soap problem. Before you get out of the shower, spray one more time with warm water and you will have far less cleaning to do.
Inexpensive shampoo, or regular Dawn dish detergent (both are meant to cut through residue of various types-I figure if Dawn is used to clean up after commercial oil spills, it is god for just about anything). Suds up a rag or sponge with it and wipe on, let sit, then use hot water to scrub down and rinse. Hang a squeegee in the shower for everyone to quickly wipe after each shower to make it easier from now on.
The best thing I have found to scrub with is Lysol Power in the blue trigger spray bottle.
Wet & forget shower (if you don't have marble) is great for a no scrub solution. I used it twice a week for 3 weeks and it got my no scrub shower floor clean so I decided to try it on the doors as well. It took 2 weeks to get it looking like new. Now I spray once a week and keeps everything 100% clean.
Check out the video on QVC. I bought it at Lowe's but you can get at walmart.com as well.
solvo soap.... just rub it straight onto the scum and rub with a sponge, cloth or scourer then prince. 😊
My personal preference (and I'm not a paid spokesperson) is to use Barkeepers Spray Foam Cleanser. Spray, scrub with a kitchen sponge, rinse, Voila! I use this on my shower walls as well and am very pleased with the end result every time. Best of luck.
