Hi Patricia, Shermin Williams has what they call color snap. If you have a way to take pictures of a room you can load it on color snap and then it will let you pick colors and will paint your walls. I used it to do my bathroom.

I'm always a fan of neutrals, gray, white and blacks. But it definitely depends on what your style is in the rest of the home as well!
The color snap is a great tool. If the cabinets are dark blue and pine floor l would lean towards whites with a tint of tan, very light grays or very light blues.
Hi Patricia, this is all personal preference, pick colors you love and want to see in your kitchen, my preference is blue, and I have grey flooring. I don't believe in trendy as I am the one who looks at it everyday lol! Here is a combo chart for you to look at,
