Green pond water

I have a small pond in my yard,it does have some gold fish in it.No matter what I do it seems to get green.I have used products that are suppose to help but no clearing at all.I do know that shading the area will help and have been working on that part.What else can I do to help clear up the water and not kill the fish,my dog also will drink from the pond so I need some thing that wont make his sick as well.

How many fish do you have? And how much do you feed them? You might consider adding more aquatic plants, but cutting back on the fish.

Buy a UV light. can be a little pricey, but worth every penny. I've had one for two years now and the water stays clear even in 90º.

Be certain,there isn't fertilizer running into it. Steve is on the right track. The ph of the water may be a factor.
