How do you replace rotten wood under vinyl siding?
There are 2 areas where the vinyl siding came loose and upon checking, some of the exterior wood under the siding is rotten.

You have to completely remove the vinyl siding and replace all the rotten wood. Other wise you will continue to have problems which can lead to more problems. See if you can find a match for your vinyl siding..
I agree with Wildflower. The siding would need to be removed out further beyond the rotted wood. Replace all the rotted wood and replace the siding.
Hi, Johnny: Wow, what a problem! I think you could use some professional advice on this; not sure it is a "do it yourself" type problem. The vinyl siding was not secured properly and allowed moisture to seep through. Good luck.
If you power wash siding and water gets under the siding, it will cause rot. You will need to thoroughly inspect all areas for damage and replace.
