About 1 foot back from the drain, the tub pops and cracks like it is going to fall through. Does anybody have a fix or repair?
You can have it bound. Most rug stores,do that.
You can cut off the "strings" and paint the edge with clear fingernail polish.
Fray Check sold in the area of sewing supplies or at a fabric store is great to stop fraying. I would trim first, as Jody suggested.
I've used a touch of hot glue before and it has worked.
Pull away any fibers completely loose from the carpet backing. Clean the carpet and allow it to thoroughly dry before applying the glue. This is especially important if the fraying was caused by pet actions which may also carry moisture and dirt into the carpet. Apply the hot glue and press the fibers into position and allow the glue to dry. This may only take a few minutes depending on the hot glue used.
