How can you turn a large round tub into a basket?
I have a large tub that I kept toys in, now that I don't have a need for a toy chest I'd like to turn into a lined basket using jute. I just need help with the liner part. I thought I'd seen instructions for this very project but as I didn't need it at the time, I didnt save them. Can anyone help?

Measure the inside,of tub with measuring tape, measure bottom too. Cut fabric length and width of inside of tub. You might want to use a interfacing with the fabric add a 1/4 seam allowance for the sides. You can sew or use a fabric glue. For the bottom cut out cardboard circle same size as bottom, cut fabric a little larger than circle so you can glue it to underside of cardboard. Place inside sides first. You can overlap it to the outside of tub a little, then cover with the jute outside. After you have inside finished and fabric glues to cardboard you can either glue it down or press in place if you want to change it in the future. Hope this helps.
Wrap in a nice big, thick rope (round and round) using hot glue! Will look nice.
Here's a version that requires some sewing https://www.thewoodgraincottage.com/2013/05/08/linen-lined-rope-basket/
and a version without sewing. https://lydioutloud.com/diy-metallic-rope-throw-basket/
Perhaps you can put the fabric liner in and use fabric glue to put the sides and bottom piece together. Run the fabric over the top edge and perhaps tack it with hot glue or something. You can then cover it permanently up to the top on the outside and at the same time seal in the liner for a really smooth transition.
