Go to a Home Depot or Lowes and pick up a sheet of insulation foam that you put between 2 x 4's. I have seen it in pink or blue and different thicknesses. Cut out the shape and width & height you want and use liquid nails to glue layers. For pies you can use a large spoon to make concave shape on top. Buy a sheet of white foam core at any hobby shop and cut different shapes. Peel paper off one side of shapes of foam. L,eave foam side up. This foam comes in different widths also. After gluing cover with light weight spackle. Let dry. Glue on trim after dipping in gesso and let it dry. Paint and let dry and then glue on item. Most items can be found at any craft store like Michael's except insulation foam. It comes in a 4 x 8 foot sheet. You can add designs with bathtub calk in tubes also.
