How can I cover these shelves?
I found this shelf/ stand. I wanted to put my knic knac collection on it. However I will need to put something on the shelves so my items won’t fall through or stand straight. What would look cute? I thought of having mirror put on each shelf, but the problem I’m having is if I put something on the second shelf then wouldn’t it reflect the underside of the top shelf mirror and look funny???? I need suggestions????

Cut a piece of wood to fit. Most folks have spare wood laying around. It is cheap and you can paint it if you want.
How about using a tray on the shelf under the mirror for items on the second shelf. You could move it when you want to rearrange those items.
If you want to go with mirrors why not put one facing up and one facing down on the top 2 shelves. Personally, I think wooden shelves would look better because the style of the shelving units is more utilitarian than decorative.
Thanks
Personally, I'd go the super cheap route and cut cardboard to size and then wrap in heavy duty gift wrap paper. That way you can actually change the look seasonally if you wanted. Use a green now for spring and change to an orange in fall then a red for the holidays, etc.
Similar to what Catherine said, you could take a piece of foam board from Dollar Tree and cut it to fit on the shelves. Then use a self-adhesive contact paper to cover the foam board and edges of shelves.
There's so many different options at some Dollar Tree's, Walmart, Target, Lowe's, Menard's, Home Depot, and Amazon. Everything from solid colors, to patterned, and even a marble look.
If you wanted the shelves to look a little bit thicker, just add additional layers of foam board. It would be inexpensive, lightweight, and easy to clean!
