Mine are stored by rolling them up and kept in boxes on my closet shelves. I have a box for each color, i.e. black, brown, blue, green, cream, white, reds & pinks, etc. I toss in bay leaves and lavender to keep them fresh.
Hi Julia!
I usually fold mine up and store in bins after I have cleaned them, and they turn out nicely. Here is some further information for you!

Hi Julia, Never hang sweaters because they will stretch and lose their shape. Folded is the best choice. If you have to hang them do invest in those thick, padded hangers to preserve the shape of the shoulder. You don't ever want to hang a sweater on a wire hanger from the dry cleaners.
Hello I have thinner sweaters folded in fabric covered bins and thicker woolen sweaters in spacebags.
I have the plastic bags, that you vaccum the air out of. I do the same with blankets and out of season comforters. They take up much less space and come out perfect.
