You can buy one pre made for very little money.
You can purchase all sorts and sizes of canvas framed at Walmart craft department. They are very reasonable and you probably could not make them any less expensive.
Cheaper to buy. They are bleached, treated, and stretched.
Hello, most times its more economical to buy new —unless you are trying to repurpose.
Recently I did reuse a thrift store $5 stretched canvas with matching frame. Removed the old art stretched canvas by pulling out each and every staple from the wood frame and restreching a new canvas using a staple gun to stretch the new one. I used a piece of a new hw dropcloth. It was primed with an acrylic primer several times and then it was ready to paint. I hope this helps.
