Hello, generally I purchase my bird feeders I have found some high dollar ones at garage sales white elephant sales and thrift stores but to keep the squirrels out I have made this baffle. It works great.
Make a baffle— If you are using a pole feeder or shepards hook. I purchased one 30 years ago and made a second one with hardware store supplies for an additional rear yard birdfeeder last year. They work very well!

Spray the bird feeder with WD40. The squirrels slip right off. Also, please post photos of these extremely hilarious events.
Make your pole from PVC pipe. Make sure it isn't located under a tree. Attach the feeder to the top of the pole. At about 6 inches below the feeder, attach a cone, made out of thin sheet metal or bendable plastic. to the pole. The bottom of the cone should out away from the pole about 3-4 inches. Squirrels hate this!
Only way I found to keep squirrels out for good is to install a metal baffle on a pole with a hanging feeder. Believe me I tried everything else. You can also buy a roller feeder, but they are expensive.
