Hi Lupe. Here is a project were someone used a vase to make a lamp and gave it a mercury glass look. It turned out beautifully. You could also just make it look like mercury glass and leave it as a vase. Have fun! https://www.hometalk.com/diy/kitchen-dining/kitchen-lighting/mercury-glass-lamp-pendant-18915409

Paint it with a metallic paint if you want a little bling. Or use regular paint and add mica powder ( https://www.amakersstudio.com/membertoolsdotnet/shoppingcartv4/ProductDetailv4.aspx?ProductID=18070&CatalogueID=208&MG=6&G1=72&ReferringDealerID=814245) for more subtle glamour!
Or use gold leaf: https://www.amakersstudio.com/membertoolsdotnet/shoppingcartv4/ProductDetailv4.aspx?ProductID=17947&CatalogueID=208&MG=6&G1=72&ReferringDealerID=814245, it also comes in silver or copper!
Paint, paint, paint! I'm a huge fan of paint and it can do absolute wonders! Get some bright gold, silver, or bronze (depending on what you like best) or try some of the glitter paints. You could even use a flat textured paint if you want a more ceramic look. There's so many possibilities!
