How do you clean a dishwasher from all the streaks of calcified water?

A cup of white cleaning vinegar in the top rack ran on a short hot cycle.

Sprinkle a cut of baking soda in the bottom and run a 2nd hot cycle.

In the future, add 1 drop of blue Dawn to your dispenser before adding detergent to help prevent build up on dishwasher as well as dishes & glasses.

Frist run hot water in sink next to dishwasher until hot as possible before starting dishwasher! Then turn off sink... this helps all dishwasher do a better job. Try Finish Max Gel - highest rated by Consumer Reports & use Jet Dry in dispenser. Also use LESS detergent - follow directions - most folks use too much! If you want to try running a load with out dishes with a bowl of white vinegar only in the dishwasher & no soap it may clean the dishwasher - there is also dishwasher cleaner on the market

I use straight vinegar in a spray bottle. The inside of my dishwasher is stainless and we have hard water, so I spray it down before I start the dishwasher and it is clean and shiny when the load is done. Water dripping from dishes when I put them in is what causes my inner door, floor and inside walls to get the white streaks.
